These are in the article 100 definitions of the NEC:Mass has an amendment in 680 that requires "an insulated or covered equipment grounding conductor"
Anyone in mass have a sense of what "covered" means?
Is Romex a covered ground since it is in the sheath?
Asking regarding a hot tub that will require some snaking etc.
Thanks obviously hadn't realized those definitions where in there. Looks good for Rx though anywayThese are in the article 100 definitions of the NEC:
Conductor, Bare. A conductor having no covering or electrical
insulation whatsoever.
Conductor, Covered. A conductor encased within material
of composition or thickness that is not recognized by this
Code as electrical insulation.
Conductor, Insulated. A conductor encased within material
of composition and thickness that is recognized by this
Code as electrical insulation.
I still do that now and then, I have a question about something and forget to check the definitions and it turns out to be in there! Thanks obviously hadn't realized those definitions where in there. Looks good for Rx though anyway
