AFCI question

In a basement finish does a storage room require an AFCI breaker. The only thing the circuit will feed is an outlet that a fridge and freezer will be pluged into. it will also serve the lighting in the storage room. I don't see storage room listed as a requirement in 210.12.

No, but "closets... and similar rooms or areas" is. So unfortunately yes, I would say it's required.

Depends what you mean by storage.

Is it an unfinished part of the basement?
If so, no afci.

OP does say "in a basement finish" so we need an RFI here. Also, what code is he on.
