200 amp Upgrade

When upgrading a house from 100 amp to 200 amp, I know the wires have to be changed from the meter base up to where it ties in overhead from the pole transformer. Do the wires have to be changed from the pole to where it ties into the meter? Or are these wires already rated for up to 200 amp?

Who owns the overhead? The POCO may not change it if the load has not changed.
 
I agree with Post #2
Most PCOs I have dealt with could care less with 100 to 200 amp upgrades. You can ask yours IF they want to be notified and follow accordingly.
