My Question: in MA is it allowed to install 2 separate PV systems on a multifamily home . If you have any code article references ? Much appreciate answers, thanks
 
Yes, I believe that it is OK as long as all of the rooftop and ground level equipment stay inside or above the boundary of the individual units . That being said, I don't believe that it would work in multi level buildings where units are stacked on top of one another. This info will not be in the NEC. You would find it in the Building code

That sounds more like an issue of ownership arrangements and property rights than building code.
