No code reference needed. POCO generally won't hook it up here.Code reference?

Right, I didn't frame that question well. Clearly you can't have two services "directly " feeding a building (unless an exception applies). What I meant was there isn't a specific prohibition against a feeder and a service serving a building -unless you apply 230.2 to that feeder.Isn't this just 230.2?
I guess you could argue that the home would be supplied by 1 service and 1 feeder.

I think you have to apply that- somewhere up the line, there's a service supplying that feeder. (Also effectively hits 230.3 even though the words don't say it.) When it come down to it, I can't see the PoCo or an inspector allowing that sort of scheme (could still happen somewhere). What I meant was there isn't a specific prohibition against a feeder and a service serving a building -unless you apply 230.2 to that feeder.
Why didn't I think of that ?? I will gladly suggest this to the customer as the existing service is extremely messy, would be hard to change, and doesn't meet code etc. What about a brand new service on the addition, and then a feeder to the old service?
