Hi
Has anyone run into or have idea why the smoke alarms in a residential home go into alarm
After the generator at home shuts off.

we just lost the power here in the northeast for a few days, generator at home ran fine, once normal power was restored,
Generator shutdown and then all the smokes went into alarm.
Any thoughts or ideas I would appreciated.

Thank you

Do they stay in alarm? Or reset and go green after a few seconds in alarm?
Battery backup?

After the generator shut down, the smoke alarms go off and the eventually they shut off.

I have no idea nor have I ever heard this before.

Thank For any thoughts or Ideas

Is it full on alarm or just a chirp coming from all of them in response to the intermittent loss/regain of power

Brand name on the smoke alarms ? You may have to contact the manufacturer. If you do, try to get someone in"tech support" and not a clerk reading off a teleprompter.

I have a case where the co detectors (2) go off when the power goes off. Interconnected system with plain smokes. Smokes don't go off-just the combination detectors. Anybody else have this experience?
