Water lines above panel

If we have a copper water line above the panel but 8” in front of the panel, does that meet code?
The line is 7’ high. Thanks!

As long as it is not above the "footprint" of the actual panel it is not a violation.

You're asking about dedicated equipment space which is above and below the footprint of the panel as Augie stated.
