I have 2 separate building and one of the building has generator on roof. The generator feeds another building as shown below: do I need grounding electrode system at trough with three discos 250.30? Can one feed generator from one building to another as shown? Any code restriction?

What determines if a generator needs a GES?
Hint look up definition of separately derived system?

You asked about GES in trough, which is fed from generator, that requirement is determined based on generator being SDS or not.

If you please note there are two troughs. The trough i am speaking is right end of sketch #1 inside separate building with three (3) disconnects

If you get the generator grounding and bonding wrong, it can result in fires, shocks or electrocutions. That is why you start with if the generator is an SDS or not.
Your question about a generator feeding another building, look in Art 215, its a short article and Art 225, look for a Part that is related to this question.
Its well written and there will be no issues in finding the correction section.
I am done with this post. I will lock it and just start a new version but with a drawing that is readable.
