Hello, I have a SQ-D three phase (Cat # 30T6H) 480v Primary to 240v Secondary transformer. I would like to lower the secondary voltage to close to 220v. The transformer has 480v primary voltage connected to the number 3 taps. So if I change the 480v to a different taps would I safely be able to get closer to my desired 220v? and which taps would I connect it to?

Do you have a photo of the nameplate? Using the highest voltage taps on the primary will give you lowest voltage on the secondary.

Not your question, but this transformer does add some grounding issues.

Tap 1 would get you to 228.6V secondary from a 480V primary voltage.
