Scothlok insulation piercing connectors

Is there anything more suitable for splicing in restricted spaces such as small junction boxes? They are UL listed up to 600 volts but NEC code
says not for power or control wiring. The idea is to remove a neutral from a junction box (all grounds and neutrals are landed in one small junction
box where the first LED light is mounted) and splice it in on the home run behind the switch.
 
My feeling is that if I can safely pull enough slack to use these I may as well use regular wire nuts. This is the type I was referring to:

Yeah I know what a scotchlok is. But that's a tap

It locks onto a continuous conductor and then you tap a smaller fixture wire on to it
