FRE conduit

FRE is slower to install as the joints are epoxied using a special caulk type gun.
But, it’s much easier to pull thru.

Be sure to check the specs on the fittings, they run bigger compared to rmc

You can bend it but there is a learning curve and you're likely going to destroy some of it in the process. They have videos on the process.

Fyi the epoxy can be finicky with the ambient temperature. There will be trial and error there too

I stand corrected, never was aware of the possibilities in "field bending" of this product. We always ordered pre-fab 90 degree of less.
Thanks. Two question regarding manpower needed. All work underground

1. 2-5" FRE conduits going 300'. How many men would be practical to do this. Could apprentice be involved( lesser skilled electrician) in the install?
2. 10- 4" PVC conduits going 30'. How many men would make sense? Thanks?

I just gotta ask...
Do you have every job in your state?
Ha funny guy. Believe it or not my bids are very competitive contrary to what you may think by my questions which I understand.
So I ask questions being fairly sure( sometimes) but not certain. I should probably elaborate more with my questions.
For instance I'd say the manpower I inquired about above would be two skilled guys and maybe an apprentice to help get stuff to the guys etc.
I like to guys feedback from those who've actually done the work.

I don't understand. How is steel conduit bonded that requires extra work?
Rigid elbows that extend above ground/slab on PVC Conduit runs must be bonded in some manner. With a non-metallic FRE elbow, no bonding is required.

it is dificult to accomplish and that is a very good reason to avoid the use of metallic sections of raceway in a non-metallic run. In some cases there will not be a code compliant way to provide the required bonding. 250.86 requires the metal raceway sections to be bonded and Exception #3 tells you the conditions where that bonding it not required.

Honestly throwing pipe in a trench does not require a high level of skill. Two men could do this even if one was an apprentice.

I dont assume. If i thought something i would ask, just as i did. I wouldnt take it the wrong way.
What you are doing is clear;
It seems you're busy...
Most guys with the tricks cant bring themselves to openly document most of thier secrets, or at least me. If i did id p.m. it.
Edit- no one here can speculate on your man power, not in a month of mondays. All i care about is clean underground, for any system. Just another variable...
