Hello everyone I am looking for a manufacturer of marine grade fiberglass or poly-carbonate NEMA 4X meter socket.
This will be used in a non-residential lighting application but should accept a standard 200 Amp meter.
Voltage is 120/240 single phase.

Closest thing I can find is Eaton U204 MS21 SS which is a stainless NEMA 3X
Thank you for your input.

I live near Puget Sound (salt water) and frequently see SS meter sockets but have never seen a non metallic socket.

Thanks gentleman for the replies. The POCO does not have any listed
But said they would likely add one as soon as someone makes it.

Why do you need a NEMA 4X rating? Simply for the corrosion resistance or for the watertightness?

I would think you would look for a NEMA 3R style socket enclosure in aluminum, stainless, or non-metallic. I have only seen single sockets in mild steel or aluminum. I have also seen large CT cabinets in stainless.

Can you put the meter and enclosure inside a larger NEMA 4x enclosure?
Thanks but POCO engineer does not like the idea.
The Eaton U204 MS21 SS are stainless and work fine, I was just curious if that's the best we can do, also they are constantly on back order.

For corrosion, these are locations withing 1/4 mile of the ocean or less. NEMA 3R has no mention of corrosion that I know of and proven useless in these areas. They are also very public areas.

Thanks for the input.

Eaton uses the suffix SS for 304 stainless, and SS6 for 316 stainless (which is more resistant than 304 to salt water). But SS6 might be even less available than you've found on the SS version.

NEMA 4X means it is a watertight enclosure as well as being corrosion resistant. I doubt any manufacturer makes a watertight meter socket.

Corrosion resistant material can be used with standard meter socket construction. NEMA 3R does not preclude using corrosion resistant materials such as aluminum or stainless steel.
