We may possibly be hired by another electrical contractor to do some closet work( about 30 closets). Never mind the reason.
It to mount a lot of lighting control panels and extend and terminate the cables they will leave right outside the closet( enough length for us to terminate).
There are A LOT of cable in each closet. Maybe 200.
If it's pulled by them to the closet how would we know where they get terminated on all the lighting control panels.
They would provide a drawing and LABEL all the cables? Thanks

If they are asking for a bid price you might want to be clear that if not marked costs will go up maybe a lot.
One would hope they will label and provide drawings. Even if they do, no guarantee marking will be accurate or even done. Would plan that it will not be done, or done uniformly between all the panels. And again be clear that if you must trace it out cost will increase.

Can the cables be run directly into the control panels? If so then that is the simplest method. If they don't allow exposed cables in the closet then you'll have to run EMT's out of the closet to a junction box and transition from there.

They said they are running cables TO the closet and we bring them to the panels.
Normally you run FROM the panel?

I am always suspicious of these kind of gifts. If they can bring the cables into the closet, why can't they terminate them?

But, if you are satisfied there is nothing lurking there, I guess you could go ahead and quote it, but I would be really, really careful to quote exactly what it is I was planning to do and make it clear that any deviation from that would be at their cost.

Presumably the people in charge of making sure your company gets paid have approved such an odd request. If I were the owner, I would want a substantial down payment before any work started.

There are MWBE goals the contractors are obligated to meet . We are a certified woman owned company. We get a lot of these requests/work.

Yeah, when I had my contracting business years ago, my partner was Native American, we got a good amount of work that way too. Similar type jobs too; they did the rough in stuff, we came in and made it work and look pretty.

I totally agree on getting everything clear up front, or at the very least spell out in YOUR bid what is NOT included, including rectification of any mistakes on their part. Circuit tracing is very time consuming.
