I have a 300' pull of 4/0 4/0 2/0 URD with a #4Al ground coming up.

I have always pulled this assembly in 2" PVC without much problem. But with the length of the run and a couple sweeps i am wondering if I should upsize to 2.5"? Will it ensure an easier pull or just be throwing money down the toilet? The cost of 2.5" is 1.5X the cost of 2" so pretty substantial.

thanks for the input

I think you could get by with 2" if you lube it good.
That's direct burial wire, I believe I would trench that and pack the trench with sand. You're looking at $2500-$3000 for conduit.

Yes it's tempting but its really not the norm around here. Plus it will run along and cross a driveway so I figure having it in conduit is a good idea.

You're in Washington too. Don't direct bury it use the conduit i have had to fix lots of busted direct burial wire. I've used mobile home feeder already plexed like that it's usually cheaper and easier than triplex urd with a ground.
