What is the current version of NFPA 780 (Standard for the Installation of Lightning Protection Systems) followed by NYC? I am not able to find it.

aah. Soooo... if one chooses to install a lightning protection system, I'm assuming you can follow the 2023 version?NYC Building Code Chapter 35 has all referenced standards, and NFPA 780 is not listed.

Because it's NYC. Why do they use 2008 NEC with amendments while the state uses 2017? They kind of make the rules work for what they want.why wouldn't NYC follow this standard? I looked out the window... we have a lot of tall buildings!
