So looking at https://programs.dsireusa.org/system/program/detail/658/business-energy-investment-tax-credit-itc
so keep it under 1MW easy so thats 30% tax credit.
use 100% steel/iron for mounting needs to be from USA AND 40% of manufact Products USA extra 10%
and area if it falls in low-income you get another 10%
thats 50% tax credit?!

so how Do you apply for this?
if you working on your own commercial building, how would you bill your business to get the tax credit.
get a couple bids and use those as a base line?
Is the tax credit instant?
main issue is the billing.

I guess if I got the PTC tax credit that would not matter since it’s based on kw, but 2.6 cents a kwh sucks lol even if over 10 years. It’s like the lottery if you win take it all.

Where are you getting the 2.6 cents? I guess you don't have net metering where you are? Are you in a "buy all sell all" type of area? If you don't have net metering but are not buy all sell all, then you effectively get the retail rate for any offset of your real time usage.

The Internal Revenue Service publish a 2022 value of 2.6 ¢/kWh in May. Some have argued that with the passage of IRA, this value should be increased, however Treasury has yet to issue additional guidance

From the link I first posted seems it’s the tax credit on top of selling to the powercompany. Power c

We do have net metering her, I was referencing tax credits.
Trying to justify installing these. With only paying 8. Cents a kw it’s hard to justify. I posted about that before.
Was hoping on some insight in the tax credit part. Probably wrong fourm to ask that ;)

I am confused. Why is the IRS saying stuff about KWH rates? ISnt the fed tax credit just a credit on the installed system cost?

Not only an accountant question, but an accountant well-versed in the intricacies of PV tax credits.
