I am hoping to gain some insight on electrical service amps sizes. I understand utility companies have service amps in different sizes like 200amp,400amp, and so on, but I am curious if this changes based on the utility company. if not, how do i know or determine the next size after 400amp for instance after 1200amp is it 1500amp or 1600amp?
Can anyone provide information on the range of available service amp sizes, and whether these sizes vary depending on the utility company? Are there any standard sizes offered by most utility companies, or is it on a case-by-case basis?
I know a lot of people on here have years of experience your input is appreciated, sorry if this is a kind of dumb question.
