Hey got another one, I have to do a meg test on a 14/2 Romax wire. Would I put the tester on 500 V or 1000 V ? Then would I put one lead on the grounding conductor, and then test individually the grounded and ungrounded conductor? Homeowner did a bunch of work and decided to get an inspection after everything was completed.

The Meg Test will not tell you anything about poor connections or bare conductors that do not happen to be touching anything at the time of your test. Nor will it indicate proper installation. Be sure you inform the customer.
Turn it on as see if it blows.......😉
