Hello gentlemen,
Does any one have a good nema receptacle chart (locking and non locking), specifically one that shows the number of gangs for the device? I have a job coming up with a bunch of different nema receptacle configurations. It would great to have a chart to handy for roughing in the walls.

Thanks

The box size will depend more on the wires than the device. Most receptacles will mount in a 1-G box, but it may not have the required volume for the wires and the device.

The mounting plate itself may vary by manufacturer, so you should look at their online catalogs.

Our standard box size is 4 11/16, and all circuits in question are dedicated. No daisy chain wiring needed. But varying by manufacturer is a bummer. Might be best to preorder devices specified for the job and go from there.

It is primarily nema 6-30R, L6-30R, and 14-20r.

The NEC handbook used to have a good chart, but they don't include it anymore. This is from the 2005:

Contact your sales rep from Leviton, Hubbell or P and S. If you don't know them, ask your primary supply house to introduce you to them. They usually have charts. Leviton has a nice slide chart. I have one around somewhere, I used to get them to hand out to my students before my favorite rep retired.
