Hi.I am going to be taking my residential electrical exam in october.I am trying to get my books to take with me in order and I'm trying to find out what tabs are allowed and if I can have my codebook highlighted. The Dbpr website just tells me what books i need but does not give specifics on tab types or highlighting.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I took the journeyman test, but the guy sitting next to me was taking the residential, his had a lot of pool questions.

I’m pretty sure you can still use a highlighted book and tabs, you just can’t have any pages other than what comes with the nec; like the Tom Henry keyword index or formula pages.

It may have been Michigan that supplied the code books? I remember the test was given above a bowling alley! Indiana I took in Florida (Block exam). It’s been a while. I finally let them all expire last year except for Georgia.
