I would like to put floor outlets in but I am not so sure I can use this duct to accomplish it. it has a thick plywood cover and is a concrete duct. Would It be compliant to cut in boxes to the cover and use MC or SO cord as a wiring method? any one have another creative solution if that doesn't work out?20230719_072529.jpg

Anyone ever dealt with in floor duct like this? Every cable in there is audio/video/data so I am assuming my circuits would have to be in conduit?

Putting in conduit could be... interesting! How much of the duct can you open at once?
Where do the wires go heading to the left? Straight shot to the next access panel?
Conduct would be nice to prevent any interference from the electrical in the other lines.

It's definitely going to be interesting to run conduit as it is not exactly a straight shot and cuts through some storage rooms with some weird angles but I am pretty confident in my bending abilities. Obviously I would rather not run it in conduit but I don't feel like the "dividers" in the duct are quite up to code for keeping them separate. my biggest concern is can I cut in a outlet in those covers. the covers are screwed down but if they are removable am I able to mount outlets to them?

You could build on the dividers already there to support outlet boxes. Then cut a hole in the cover to fit snugly around the boxes.
