Personally I think you would be crazy to do so. What if they severely under bid a project and you got the bid?

No, but holy cow do I get A LOT of emails from these estimating companies offering their services. I clearly got on some mailing list because I suddenly started getting at least one a day from many different businesses all with unique phrasing.

I have a hard time picturing who their target audience actually is.

Are you asking because you're thinking of trying it out? If so, what interests you about it?
