UL 414 (Standard for Meter Sockets) says in section 27.10.5:
If a meter socket is intended for and has been tested for use with 90C ampacity-sized conductors on the line side of the meter socket in accordance with Exception No. 1 to 14.6, the meter socket shall be marked "Conductor sized for 90C may be used on the line side of the meter socket" or equivalent.
Are such meter sockets commercially available, either standalone, or as part of a meter/main? Or is this just an option that nobody makes?

Thanks,
Wayne

Interesting find Wayne and good question. I'll be making up a milbank 320 today, I'll take a look at the labeling.

It wont make that much difference since it is only for line side. Will that change how the power company size their conductor? I don't think so.
