Breaker AIC rating

It appears that the thermal magnetic portion of the CB is 65, but the AFCI portion is not.
There is only one set of contacts so they can only have one AIC rating.
The energy released internal to the breaker may destroy the AFCI circuitry if the fault current is greater than 22k, but that would be a SCCR not an AIC.

Time to look at the UL documentation instead of trusting a marketing person's technical understanding.

Thanks. Did not make sense otherwise.

Can't say how many times that thought has gone through my head when looking at kitchen appliance cutsheets :ROFLMAO:... call the manufacturer and talk to one of their tech people instead of reading the cutsheet.
