That should only be about 600W if they're incandescent. Or maybe 70W if LED.
That is probably not the problem causing the burnt receptacle. The fact it is hanging down loose causing arc heating is.
Even if the breaker is tied locked in on position it wouldn't prevent tripping, just make it harder to reset. Hopefully that screw is listed. Is it a self tapping, and listed for use as a tap device for the #12 wire?😵‍💫

Right!!!!!! Fire people get so upset over so many piggyback plugs into one receptacle, but total amperage is way below the rating for the receptacle/wiring/breaker so why the outrage? You should see my tree.... :ROFLMAO:

I do agree that gravity is the real issue.(y)
