Transitioning PVC to RGS

Would you use a male or female adapter on the PVC? I ask because you could( OR NOT) have a coupling on RGS.

I would use rigid coupling and male adapter because less likely to break or crossthread fitting that way

However, in this world, is the male adapter listed for use with a rigid coupling? I am going to guess no.

The only code compliant way is to use the female adapter as that is listed for use with rigid conduit. The male adapter is not listed for use with the rigid coupling.
