unless they do a load calc or can get usage from POCO then they are just guessing. Last 200 amp home I did he had a 32kw gen, luckily around here POCO has that information. Like electrofelon said, you going to need load shedding or have a dedicated gen panel

Yes I am a good family man, possibly, this is my panel, very busy, I cannot believe the inspector even agreed to such thing

This is why, in my opinion I would never have passed it, but my builder had his own electrician who was too concerned about selling!
