Has anyone installed a ground fault protective device on a 480V, 1000A Main Fused Disconnect switch?

Why does 240.13 even exist? It stops short of covering all of cases where this protection is required. 210.13 for branch circuits, 215.10 for feeders, and 230.95 for services.

You would have to use a bolted pressure/stored energy switch AKA a Pringle switch. All the majors make them and the GFPE would have to be factory installed. Used to be pretty common when large breakers were not as common as now. Seen them as large as 4000 amp.
