Lighting is not permitted on the laundry branch circuit. You can supply both a gas dryer and a washer from the 20 amp circuit required for the laundry area.
im not sure where code mentions that but general use receptacles and lighting is usually mentioned together in NEC for dwellings

So this 1500 VA branch circuit for laundry is just a dedicated branch circuit required for laundry rooms and the fixed dryer exceeding possibly 50% of circuit ampacity would need its own circuit?

I’m using the 50% in regard to “fixed” appliances on the same circuit containing multiple cord and plug receptacles and general purpose lighting?

210.52 applies only to 125 volt 15 and 20 amp receptacles:

A typical electric dryer does not fit into any of the above and is nothing more than an appliance that because of it's rating will nearly always end up on an individual branch circuit of rating needed. I believe there is a section within art 422 would prohibit putting two electric dryers on a 50 or 60 amp branch circuit, so we are basically stuck putting them on an individual 30 amp branch circuit in nearly all cases.

In 210.11(C)(2) that I just quoted in my last post.

Also says similar in a few other sections like for the small appliance branch circuits, more recently receptacles in garages have limitations on what else can be with them as well as some similar language but with some options for receptacles located in bathrooms.

Can the laundry receptacle power all the outlets in the laundry room? There will be a counter top work station and some general purpose outlets in the laundry room.
Somewhat confusing? Most dryers will be 240volt single-phase. Should include a neutral, but how will you get your 120volt outlets from that circuit?

I believe that the original question was about a gas dryer which is 120 volts not an electric dryer.
