Main service moves

Currently the solar connection is tied into the main service and the inverters are next to the main service. The main service will move about 50' away and it will be replaced with load center.

Does the solar have to reconnect back into the main or it can be reconnected into the load center?

Assuming there are no side issues (battery backup, say), then there is no reason the solar can't be connected in a subpanel. However it does mean both the subpanel and the main service panel will need to meet the rules in 705.12.

Currently there isn't any battery backup and I don't think they will put one in.
