Please help! Can I use this optional calc method if my current design is not "equipped" with an electric cooking BUT I have provision for a 50A, 2P branch circuit for an electric range in my dwelling unit calcs.

Thanks! In addition, is there a minimum kW rating for the range to be included in the calc? A plan reviewer told me it has to be 8kW but couldn’t find it in the Code.

8 kW is what the Code says you have to allow for this method. See 220.84(A)(2) Exception
