Can you support cable tray off of cable tray? I know it’s an unwritten rule. Tried contacting manufacturers but no answer. Thanks

The question is not clear, i.e. whether a tray can be supported by another tray?

According to NEMA VE-2 ,the installation details are for a single cable tray and the maximum load as per manufacturer instructions. A supplemented load-as another cable tray load somewhere between supports- has to be checked by a mechanical engineer.

First tray going from East to West properly supported, second tray (going South) where second tray meets first is bolted on to first and at other end supported with trapeze.
