480V Portable EVSE Equipment

The Zerova DM30 is a portable 480V, 30kW DCFC fast charger for electric vehicles. It is ul certified (UL2202 & UL2231). How does one provide power for this piece of equipment?

Seemingly article 625.44(A) does not have a provision for powering this type of portable equipment unless it is fixed in place, since the allowable voltage for an outlet for a piece of portable equipment does not go to 277V. But this was UL certified to be portable equipment. Am I missing something with article 625.44?

I agree. The code does not allow for portable equipment over 250V. It is ridiculous.

I personally would put together the plans for the drop cord receptacle and put the load as charging equipment. I would size everything based on 50A if the device's rated output is 40A.

How does the manual say to provide power? (Sorry but I refuse to give them any information to download it.)
I just ask because I'm a bit confused about the product conceptually. I see that it comes on wheels but I don't understand if it's supposed to be hard wired to a power source with a cord or if it uses a 480V receptacle for the AC input. If the latter, I'm not totally clear on the point of the product, since the overall cord length can't exceed 25ft per 625.17(C).
