I believe you are incorrect, you should check the IEEE dictionary. CT is clearly indicated to be Current Transformer.

Yep. But, I have been participating on this forum long enough to know that IEEE conventions are not regularly followed in discussions.

My experience has been, switchgear low voltage (600V class) wiring is done using SIS conductors, including for CT secondaries.

So true, people still call it 120/208V or 277/480V which are troublesome.
