Condenser mounted disconnect switch

Any code violation with mounting the condenser disconnect directly on the condenser like this?

Not a problem unless it mounts over an access panel or nameplate. See 440.14

I agree with Augie. If you cannot remove the panel or access interior components then it's a violation.

The disconnects are mounted on racks.

That is what I see in the picture. They are not mounted to the condensers.

As a follow up, the electrician may not have enough clearance (3') on this tight roof in front of all the disconnects if they mount them directly on the condensers.

How about using a subpanel, on the roof, within sight of all the condensers.
Ever seen that done before? Code compliant?
