This allows for certain loads to go off 75% for 10 and lower- if I used for mini split installed 12 on a 25 amp breaker—- does this also apply to my egc—- never thought about it till today don’t have book—- inspector never said anything- but as soon as that 12 on 25 I need a 10 ground correct?
 
Cause does 250.122 get modified table says not exceeding——- and gives amperage- I get your part but wondering what unknown k spectir will say
The inspector can only inspect to the code. The following from 250.112(A) is very clear.

"The equipment grounding conductor shall not be required to be larger than the circuit conductors supplying the equipment."

250.122(A) General.
Copper, aluminum, or copper-clad aluminum equipment grounding conductors of the wire type shall not be smaller than shown in Table 250.122. The equipment grounding conductor shall not be required to be larger than the circuit conductors supplying the equipment. If a cable tray, a raceway, or a cable armor or sheath is used as the equipment grounding conductor, as provided in 250.118 and 250.134(1), it shall comply with 250.4(A)(5) or (B)(4).
Equipment grounding conductors shall be permitted to be sectioned within a multiconductor cable, provided the combined circular mil area complies with.Table 250.122.
