Supporting a luminare from low voltage wires.

They sent an email, but I'll ask for a signed document on letterhead. Thanks for helping me dig this down. Its the last thing left on a big project, 1300 lights.
You're welcome and I apologize for being a little short with my replies. I see what you're dealing with now.

Double check the box... or its the odd lite package that sent installation hardware in a seperate 10×10 box... so they sent zero aircraft/vyn cable?!

Ok, I see what you mean now from your video. The drawing clearly shows and states aircraft cables are used for support. There should be three of them. For whatever reason they evidently decided to use electrical cable instead which also would change the way the cables are hung from the ceiling. About how much does that fixture weigh?

You bought 1300 of those things. You would think that they would be a little more cooperative! This is not an electrical or NEC issue, it's that they did not provide a product as agreed upon. You may have to get an independent engineering evaluation as to the suitability and longevity of using electrical cable for support of that fixture. Advice from a cable manufacturer as to the load carrying capacity would also be appropriate.

Then an attorney.

Then last thing to check is if the cable fits in the hangers- and that you recieved 6 hangers per fixture... also i assume the canopy will have a extra hole?
It can be tricky signing for thousands of fixtures... and a legal problem. Check the cut sheets.

One of our guys signed off on 3,000 or so 4 lamp flour. layins that should of been 3 lamps... we set a wknd aside to retro fit every damn one... lucky the ballast worked but- 3 lamp the ballast pan is off center... oops.

Check if the cable supports actually work. Id still wire one up and check for anymore suprises.

Sorry bud. The fun of life...

According to the highlighted lines on the PDF in post #5, this version apparently does not have aircraft cable. It is shown as "POWER OVER SUSPENSION".

This would not be the first time marketing cutsheets did not match the current actual instructions.

I believe power over suspension is an option as is black or white power cable with aircraft cable support. Can't tell what version he has, it certainly does look like the POS version.

Who ordered these fixtures and what does the order say?

Every option of the light is shown in the PDF. Every single one shows 10' aircraft cable supplied with light.

Right. It shows they ordered in #4 mounting option MMRM= multiple cables with remote driver. Then for the cord option in #5 they chose POS= power over suspension. If they wanted the aircraft cables they should have chosen in #5 either BC or WC depending on the cord color they wanted that runs down one of the aircraft cables.

Don't feel bad Bill, when I order fixtures I have to look at the number I generated several times to make sure I'm getting what I want. I always hated supplying fixtures because stuff like this happens.

He got 9910R1-48-H-40K-MMRM-POS-(unspecified fixture color)-DIML
He wants 9910R1-48-H-40K-MMRM-(cord color) WC or BC-(unspecified fixture color)-DIML
