Another Show Window question

My question is regarding the receptacle required for show windows based on section 210.62 of the NEC.

If my show window measures 5 feet, do I need a receptacle? My answer is no.
If my show window measures 8 feet, do I need a receptacle? My answer is no.
if it measures 12 feet... my answer is yes, one receptacle is needed.
if it measures 17 feet... yes, one receptacle is needed.
if it measures 18 feet... yes, two receptacles are needed.

Are my answers correct?

6' is a major faction of 12' so why wouldn't an 8' window require a receptacle? This is one of the most poorly written code sections. Just for kicks here's what the NECH says:

Show windows usually extend from floor to ceiling for maximum display. To discourage floor receptacles and unsightly extension cords likely to cause physical injury, receptacles must be installed directly above a show window, and one receptacle is required for every 12 linear ft or “major fraction thereof” (6 ft or more). See 220.14(G) and 220.43(A) for information regarding load calculations for show windows. To further reduce the use of extension cords, the required receptacle outlet(s) are required to be installed within 18 in. of the top of the show window.

hi - IMO, the 2023 version of 210.62 did not help clarify this. Something like this:
...it requires at least one 125-volt, single-phase, 15- or 20-amp receptacle to be installed within 18 in. of the top of a show window and for no point along the top of the window to be farther than 6 feet from a receptacle outlet.
The 12 linear feet or major fraction verbiage is gone.
I think maybe EVERY show window gets at least one, regardless of width.

Well that's a little better.
