What to charge on small jobs

I lost my 1/2" EMT offsetter, (it was basically where it belonged but had purloined lettered itself into a different position with lots of less expensive tools in front of it)

The little bit of hand offsetting wasn't bad but I really missed it

Found it not long after I bought replacement

I think I gave one away (although is possible I still have 2)

Appears that you are talking about the $250 hand tool that makes a box offset in 1/2". EMT. In my 50 years as an electrician I only saw one of these once. Was for sale collecting dust a few years on electric supply house display. For around $40 you can purchase a hand 1/2" EMT bender that is very easy to use. They come with great how to booklet that explains how to make offsets, 90's, back to back brands & saddle bends. Can remember paying what I thought was a lot of money at the time a 100' bundle if 1/2" EMT for $6.99 ( around 1967 while in high school for a job where I only needed 60'. Used a couple of sticks to practice on. Like riding a bike, you will never forget. Think I still have my fathers 1960 era Jack Benfield bending booklet. Somebody that owed me money thought they were doing me a favor by giving me a 1/2 to 1" heavy wall conduit mechanical bender on wheels that they picked up for next to nothing. Had it in work for 30 years and nobody wanted it when I retired. Never used it !

A little condescending?

Yes bending offsets with any of my 3 or 4 hand benders was not a big deal, but I really like the offsetting

1st one was free, 2nd probably around $50 (both used)
