So there’s big Subdivision I’m doing no electrical plans. Nothing met the guy out there to do temps I told him hey let’s put the temps an inch or two away from the building then we don’t have to move it again. He knew what we’re doing. I said good then I get wind after I did them all that they need to be 400 A no mention of it before. He’s upset because he wanted him 400 but there’s no in writing and I’ve never seen a temp 400 amp and he never told me just more problems just venting

My paperwork even said 200 amp temp on original estimate—— then later revised it with reference back to original and noted the modifications so I am good on my end——- guys got endless money- but is doing the gc himself…

If I continue with him it’s got to be extremely detailed

Sounds like he is confused between the temp and main service. I've never, ever, heard of 400A temp for a dwelling. What in the world would he be running that required 400A just for the construction?

Yeah, these houses are like 1700 ft.² and no central heating no EV no Hot Tub know anything Large so I told him man you’re looking at like 80 A Max, the reason he wants a 400 is cause it’s on 100 acre parcel and he wants to agricultural building but I said unless you’re growing like tons of pot or doing it for Commerical uses 100 amp feeder to those buildings is gonna be enough.
And then, if he’s doing it that larger scale for Commerical use, he should have it metered separate from the home so it’s for tax purposes

We can't have more than 60A on a temp pole here.

Around here we just use 200 amp meter main on post.
Here we set a 100 amps for residential temps. A couple of insulators have trailers that have 15KW spraying units. I know they have their own cords for the units. Think they were a #2 or #4 .

Forget what they are called but quite expensive.
