IF splices are made in a wire way it must not fill more than 75% of that space.

Does this include calculating wire nuts area? How would this be done? We are speaking of a square length x height measurement but not a cubic volume measure l x h x w correct?
 
Like Don said the 75% rule is virtually impossible to exceed and virtually impossible to accurately calculate.
I would not think its near impossible to fill 75% because wire nuts and splice polaris can be large.

I agree that wire nuts do not have typical l x h dimrntions, which makes calculating area difficult. Would this calculation likely be on state test?
