Strut Support Image

Hello. Trying to build an assembly in my database. Looking for strut spanning across two I beams with the strut attaching at the flange. No threaded rod.

I know it's a longshot but anyone have a pic of this? Looking for parts/pieces I would need at the flange to connect the strut. ]

Thinking a beam clamp but how would strut attach directly to the beam clamp.

Didn't you ask about this earlier? I believe you had a detail showing a "window clamp" or something like that.

You can do that, but I prefer setting the strut on the flange so the hanger is only keeping the strut in place and not supporting any weight.

I think the strut clamps with the 3/8 U bolts are plenty strong. You can set the strut on the flange or hang from it

Cross beams with the same bottom elevation can cause a problem with that method, requiring saddles at each cross beam. In that case I do let the hanger support the weight and put the strut under the flange.
