Work Truck, Camper Shell & back up lights

I bought a new F150 2025 work truck. I have ordered a new fiberglass camper shell.
I am being told it will only come with a brake light. My truck has back up lights up high on the cab on it now and area lights. When you walk by it, with the key remote in your pocket. They turn on as area lights.
I really like this feature.
My question is. Has anybody else came across this problem? If so, what did you do?
I would think that Leer and A.R.E would have been in front of the problem. Surely I cannot be the only one. 1000014966.jpg1000014964.jpg

May have to add an aftermarket light. When I had a commercial topper put on my truck, they didn’t make a harness yet for the rear view camera. Since I went with double rear doors, I lost my tailgate camera. They never called back if they got one, so I moved the camera from the tailgate to the bumper using the factory harness and camera. Looks like yours has a light on the tail gate, so they could intercept that wiring. Are you wanting interior lights in the shell to come on? Or just
More lighting at the rear?

More lighting outside in the rear. I'll have a bed slide. So the lights on the back of the camper would've been right above it.
The truck has lights in the bed on the sides for the interior.

I used 12 volt tape lights inside mine, same kind used above kitchen cabinets. They are pretty bright. Probably could run them just inside near the hinge, or even above the latch on the rear door, so when it’s open, it would cover the slide out well. I’ve got a picture of them when I first installed it, but Google photos hides my pictures, and deletes them out of my Apple picture album!

The led strip runs down both sides and across the front. I have them in the side bins too. All are controlled by limit switches mounted at each door and sides. Still need a little more organizing.

Unless they have changed things, those white lights come on with the interior dome lights, which sucks when they're driving with them on and you're behind them.

Mine you can chose which ones come on, and also it will not allow you to drive with them on. I have lights under the mirrors, lights on the sides of the mirrors that shine backwards, but as soon as you put the truck in gear, it shuts them off.

Do you have a trailer hitch and trailer receptacle? The 7 pin trailer receptacle has a wire for reverse (the center pin) which you could tie to a fog light mounted on the rear of the camper shell or just under the rear bumper. There is a ground wire on that connector too.
