Is the MI for fire pumps or fire alarm? Some of our specs included wording that those applications had to have the cable supported independently from other raceways.

Different wiring methods, including MI cable and conductors in conduit, are permitted on the same trapeze rack or support system, provided each wiring method complies with its specific securing and supporting requirements.
It is generally code compliant to run MI cable and normal feeders (in conduit and wire) on the same trapeze rack, even on different tiers. The National Electrical Code (NEC) permits different wiring methods to be supported by the same means, provided that each wiring method complies with its specific securing and supporting requirements. There are no general prohibitions against co-mingling these types of wiring methods on a common support structure, as long as the support system is adequate for the combined load and the individual wiring methods meet their own installation rules.
