Connection Type for building steel grounding electrode

We don't do a lot of commercial/industrial so I don't have a flash welder for making building steel connections for the Grounding Electrode. Are there good alternate mechanical connectors that we can use and what do you recommend? Thanks!
 
To Don's point you would need to use a listed mechanical connector. I've seen many guys just use a 1/4" beam clamp with a lug. Not something like this:Isolated Ground connection.jpg

Lol. I snapped that picture in a federal office building where it was used for the IG connection.

Funny thing about that photo is that I posted it here several years ago and I was at a NJ CEU seminar and the instructor had it in his PowerPoint presentation.
