Dewalt Laser level

Any of you had to work on your Dewalt laser Level?
Mine quit while on the shelf sometime in the past year. Batteries good, contacts clean. Neither vertical or horizontal come on.

Someone dropped it, but now that I have it opened up it works. Of course. Hard to fix when it isn't broken.

New one of China made at Menards is less than $30. I think mine was less than $200.

Saw one of these at Costco on Saturday. I was tempted, but it just seems too cheap. Anyone try one of these yet?

First time I saw one was while digging a trench for a plumber in the early 80's. I thought it was "space age". I can't remember what he told me it cost, but I remember thinking "don't break it"

The problem I have with these cheap ones is making sure the level is actually level. Those round bubble level indicators are not accurate and hard to on the tripod. Next time I will get a self leveling one.
