I'm getting ready for my test and just wanted to verify I'm on the correct path.
question is 2 parts,
1st what is the max load for 20 ranges rated at 8 kw each?
my answer is 20*8kw= 160kw*28%= 44.8kw
2nd max demand for those same ranges?
I seem to be stuck here for some reason,
now I ask because I had someone tell me max demand was 280kw and I cannot seem to figure out how they got that number.
my brain is mush right now and just having a hard time wrapping it around this.

Thanks again to everyone for the assistance

wouldn't the max demand be 28%

Look at the title of the table
Column C to be used in all cases.....
So you do the calculation as you did using column B and then compare it to column C. Use the smaller of the two
ok sorry to sound silly but what part exactly am I comparing to column C,
20*8kw= 160kw*28%= 44.8kw
thanks

I don't know if the question is abbreviated from what you are looking at but I believe this should answer your question.

20 Ranges @ 8kW each.

Column C applies when all ranges are the same rating and shall be used unless note 3 is applicable.

Note 3 - multiply the sum by demand factors in column A or B for the given number of appliances. (0.28 * (20*8000)) = 44.8kW

For column C, you would go down until you reach 20, and it is 35kW.

Because it says "Column C to be used in all cases except as otherwise permitted in Note 3" then you can use either. You can use Column C or Note 3.
