I’d like to start this off by saying I’m currently a 5th year apprentice and have my JW license.
I’m replacing an old 100A Federal Pacific panel with a 100A Square D QO panel. I added ground rods. My question is, can I run a #8 copper from the panel to the ground rods and an additional run of #8 copper from the panel to the water meter? I’m not seeing anything in 250 that prohibits me from this. Maybe 250.64B(3) for the conductor running to the rods, but the wire runs underground near the rods and under a 3 seasons room that isn’t mean to be used as storage space. So not really concerned with physical damage.
Any insight or clarification would be much appreciated.
