I have an inspector stating the NMB cannot be ran in the exterior walls of a dwelling or bathroom, because they are both wet locations.

Maybe the plumbing inspector was filling in for electrical that day. As some areas don't allow plumbing on the outside walls due to freezing. (y) Altough nothing to do with it being a wet location.
