1AWG SER In Conduit?

Hey guys... Running a 1AWG SER from Main panel in garage up to the attic and back down into the garage on the otherside and down to the basement for a subpanel.

I want to protect it in the garage. I noticed a 1.5" PVC "sleeve" will work but if I wanted to use an LB even a 2" seems very tight.

Can I (should I) do away from the LB and just do a sleeve? There would be an exposed part at the bottom of the garage wall though.

I'll have to ask if he wants to box it all out but wondering about the LB or another way to protect it

That might work but you would still have to ensure that the bend radius where it exits the back of the wireway is at least 5X the diameter of the SE cable.
Does having a removable cover Trump that requirement?

You could also cut a notch about 1/3 of the conduit's circumference for about 6-8" of the conduit's length, leaving a window that the cable can curve out of and into the wall. From the front, it would look like the conduit just stops with the end open.

This is why I like using FMC and pulling wire. It's easy to just transition to EMT for a stretch like this.

Alternatively, put a 12x12 box (or two) and splice.

Price it out and you're looking at 3x the price. It's not a bad install your way it's great but way more in cost and the cheap guy will win on these
Not for what I do and where I get my materials, no, it isn't that much of a price difference. Maybe 10% more, not more than doing boxes and splices. YMMV, obviously.
